Doran Amos, PhD

My goal is to help you to develop the clarity and flow of your writing, so that the scientific merit of your work shines through.

I have been involved in scientific research for over a decade, authoring papers in highly prestigious journals, including Current Biology and the Journal of Neuroscience. During this time, I have studied and worked at some of the world’s top universities, completing my PhD under the supervision of Nobel laureate Prof. John O’Keefe at University College London in 2011.

Since 2016, I have been professionally editing scientific and medical manuscripts, often for authors whose native language is not English. I am a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP), whose professional Code of Practice I follow to uphold the highest standards in my editorial work.

I combine my academic and editorial expertise with a passion for science communication, offering you gold-standard editing services which ensure that the scientific merit of your work shines through.
